Commonwealth games : Cameroon
Cameroon has deposited its suitcases in Birmingham in Great Britain where the XXIIICommonwealth Games will participate, which will bring together just over 5054 athletes from 72 countries on the big island to compete in 50 sports disciplines.

Cameroon, a member of the Commonwealth organization, will indeed be Birmingham Day, in this vast environment of exchanges, sharing and especially competitions, Cameroonian athletes will try in just over 6 disciplines to do better than the last games organized in Australia, where Cameroon had won 3 medals, two in bronze and one in Silver. And why not get a gold medal as in 2002 at the Manchester Games where Cameroon was a hit by bringing back 12 metals in his musette, 9 of which were golden. With a smaller delegation, with only about sixty athletes, Cameroon nevertheless has arguments to make at these games.

In athletics, Cameroon can be carried by the enthusiasm of talented Cameroonian sprinter Emmanuel Eseme, who won a silver medal at the last African Athletics championship, as well as his teammate Kosenda Rey, the three-time bronze medal-winning jumper in the same competition.

The other disciplines are not left behind, boxing, swimming, badminton, wrestling, etc. only beautiful promises of medals in perspective for Cameroon. For this edition, Cameroon has also hired Paralympic athletes to expand its medal cabinet and especially include the disabled in this great sports festival. The headliner is probably the pair Guillaume Atangana and his guide Nyamdjua Donald. Engaged in the 100 and 400 m races, this is one of Cameroon's great chances of medals.

The 23rd Commonwealth Games will be held from July 28 to August 9, 2022.
