PWD Bamenda : appoint Martin Nkabyo as new manager
PWD of Bamenda have appointed Martin Nkabyo as their new head coach.

The tactically astute gaffer returns to the club on a long term deal after two previous stints in 2013 and 2016.
We are delighted to announce that an agreement has been reached with Nkabyo Martin as new head coach of the Abakwa Boys”-the club said in a statement.

Nkapyo, 52 replaces David Pagou who parted ways with the club in July after three years within which he led them to a maiden Elite One title in 2020 and their first ever Cup of Cameroon crown earlier this year.

The former Kumbo Strikers and National Polytechnic manager has been out of work since June when he stepped down as Yong Sport Academy’s head coach after three seasons in charge. He takes over a PWD of Bamenda side that are bracing up for this season’s CAF Confederation Cup.

The Abakwa boys are returning to the continent’s second tier inter-club competition for the first time since their first round exit in 2004. They face Association Sportive Saint Michel Elgeco Plus of Madagascar in the first preliminary round of the 2022/2023 CAF Confederation Cup next month.

Martin Nkabyo is expected to guide PWD to success this season. His first task in his new role is to ensure a decent participation in the CAF Confederation Cup and Elite One Championship.
