Women AFCON 2022: South Africa on the roof of Africa
South Africa wins the 2022 women's African Cup of Nations for the first time in its history against the Lionesses of the Atlas of Morocco.

South Africa won the first African Cup of Women's Football Nations in its history on July 23 in Rabat. In the CAN 2022 final, the South Africans beat the Moroccans.
The Banyana Banyana finally the Indian sign on the score of 2-1 after Hildah Magaia's double (63′ and 71′) before Rosella Ayane (80′) reduced the score for the hosts of this CAN.
Beaten in the final in 1995, 2000, 2008, 2012 and 2018, the Banyana Banyana are finally crowned for the first time in their history.
